EVENTS
2nd Bordeaux 60 Rendez-Vous in Puerto Portals (Mallorca)
Unfortunately, harsh weather conditions (respectively in Gibraltar and in Greece) made it impossible for Eolic 6 and Si Remote to join the fun.
British, German, Swiss, Spanish and French skippers and crew (with many children), enjoyed a “meet & greet” cocktail on the evening of the 9th.
Improvised "regattas", wonderful and friendly moorings and evenings, this 2nd Bordeaux 60 owner´s meeting was a real success!
8 boats and 8 crew with a mix of experienced racers and complete families made this 2nd Bordeaux 60 rendezvous exactly what it should be: an exceptional opportunity to meet, sail together in a beautiful bay while becoming friends…see you next year!

July 9, 10 & 11: 10 Bordeaux 60 owners had decided to meet again in Puerto Portals for their 2nd annual rendezvous organized by CNB, with the precious collaboration of Sunbird (the local representative), in partnership with Raymarine and Volvo Penta France.

June 1, 2010: The Bordeaux 60 Kagayaki III officially received her name during a traditional Shinto ceremony, in the presence of her owner, his family and numerous friends. Kagayaki III is hull#18 and also the first Bordeaux 60 delivered in Asia.

Bordeaux Yachts in Paris ...
Each Bordeaux 60 selects her own winter programme: several boats, like Gredos (# 11) elected to sail across and check what the weather is like in the Caribbean; Others like Osprey of Hamble (# 16) sailed directly from south west England to the Balearic. Bellkara (# 8) chose to spend the winter in Croatia out of the water, while Iskira VII (# 1) just arrived in Monastir (Tunisia), directly from La Rochelle.
One point was common to these various programmes: all Bordeaux 60s sailed in rather breezy, tough conditions and demonstrated again their outstanding sea going qualities!
No Bordeaux 60 will spend December in Paris this year… but the Bordeaux 60 team will be happy to welcome you at our stand during Nautic 2009 (Dec. 4th through Dec. 13th)!

Bordeaux 60s in Mallorca for their first Rendez Vous
The boats were berthed in the superb Puerto Portals marina and enjoyed sailing in the beautiful Palma bay and along the cliffs during the 2 days that followed the welcome cocktail party of the first evening.
A fully successfull first Rendez Vous with happy owners and crew, beautiful sailing and great entertainment... All agreed to come back next year: same place, same date, same hour...

Seven Bordeaux 60s met in Puerto Portals, Mallorca from July 3 to 5 for their first owners meeting, organized by CNB and Sunbird, the Bordeaux 60 local representative, with the simple and pleasant goal of enjoying to sail together.

The Bordeaux 60 is nominated for the European Yacht of the year 2009
Each year, the European Yacht of the Year Award is extended in several categories, by a jury of about ten European journalists.
This year, the Bordeaux 60 has been selected in the Luxury cruiser category .
In November, the journalists will sail on board of the Bordeaux 60, so they will enjoy her sail features and qualities, her ergonomics, and her luxurious comfort.
The result of this award is scheduled in January 2009, at the Düsseldorf boat show!
