BORDEAUX 60

BUILDING: IN THE SPIRIT OF A SUPERYACHT

The Bordeaux 60 takes advantage of several technical choices directly borrowed from CNB’s skill in big yachts, whereas they cannot be applied to mainstream production boats.
Among these choices, true guarantors for the quality of our boats, the technique of infusion and metal structure make the Bordeaux 60 a reliable, sturdy, strong and fast sailing boat.

The mastery of infusion serving your yacht
On the Bordeaux 60, the composite structural components of the boat (hull, deck, bulkheads...) are made by infusion: a modern and complex technology mastered by CNB who was among its forerunners.
This process consists in impregnating homogeneously only once the whole thickness of the components (composite and sandwich balsa), by resin suction.
It allows for:
- an excellent weight control (the resin/mat ratio is optimized)
- a better respect of the environment and working conditions
- an unvariable quality
- an excellent sound and thermal insulation inside your boat, thanks to the use of a balsa sandwich.

The aluminium structure: a CNB savoir faire
Like several of her CNB-built older sister ships, she has a true aluminium framework, made by our specialized metal workers, giving the Bordeaux 60 an outstanding rigidity. Bonded inside the infused hull, when it is still held in its mould, the aluminium structure is a guarantee of sturdiness and consequently of security. For example, the keel and mast are held straight on this structure.

The aluminium structure also makes the access to the engine room and all the technical systems easier.
Thus all the technical wiring and plumbing, being under the floorboards, are of easy and functional permanent access to let as large a space as possible to comfort and storage above.
